Virtual data center (vDC)
vDC – a set of resources in the cloud, necessary for the creation of corporate IT infrastructure. The vDC resources include processors, RAM. network disk space. On the basis of the represented vDC VMs (virtual machines) are implemented.
The infrastructure in a vDC is similar to that in a data center, but it has its own advantages: access to rapid scaling, cost reduction, the ability to create test environments, and flexibility.
The environment is managed through a web interface in the virtual space. The client remotely creates VMs, changes network settings, prepares backups, and so on.
During business expansion, it is common to migrate local infrastructure to vDC. Simply put, migration to vDC is driven by the need to move network infrastructure to the cloud.
